Adeoye Mary Iyanuoluwa is a microbiologist and girls’ right advocate. She is a 2018 Women Deliver Fellow and Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Fellow. She has a passion for improving the health and well-being of women and girls, including sexual and reproductive health, mental and physical health, and maternal and child health.
She was a member of the HIV and Ebola Prevention Promotion NYSC Club in Rivers State. Over the years, she has acquired basic skills in behavior change, communication, and advocacy. During her work with Society for Family Health, she contributed to over 1000 women and girls in Rivers State taking up family planning methods under the Expanded Social Marketing Project in Nigeria.
Mary has participated in several community outreaches and helped improve health outcomes of women and girls. She currently works with a team that leads family planning and sexual violence projects. Mary strongly believes that every child has a right to education regardless of gender.
